First Half of November Updates....

A Few Precious Kitty 'n' EJ Moments

One morning, EJ curled up on the chair in my room with a book (note: book is about The Shy Little Kitten) and Symba, her "buddy," joined her.

Happy Pals!
Symba, "playing dead" on Mommy's lap....
So, this is the other cat, Briggs, who is terrified (as I say) of anything and everything...like AIR. But, every now and then, he 'comes out of his shell' and will sit in unusual places.  I have this folding chair up all the time in the kitchen so EJ can help me cook, and given the fact that Briggs can't STAND EJ, it's even funnier that he plopped himself on 'her' chair...and then tucked himself in all cozy.

Sometimes they're enemies...sometimes they're the best of pals....
Those of you that know the kitties, want to take a guess who's who? :)

A Beautiful Saturday Afternoon - in November!
It was in the mid-70s last Saturday!  Unbelievable weather! As much as I wanted to get outside, we were just layin' low, cleaning, making messes and then cleaning again, and takin' it easy around the house.  It was nice.  And, oh, how much I wished I had screen doors!  We had those growing up, and I think I never realized how much I love the fresh air until I didn't have anything but windows (with a house that's 10 feet between neighbors, so very little breeze comes through...).  So, after Symba jumped (twice) the first attempt of putting up this gate (above), I cut a piece of wood, just the right size for the door, upped the gate (which he could totally still jump, but didn't try!) and now we could all enjoy the wonderful weather!  I left the door open for HOURS, with cat and kid inside. :)
I think both of them were sitting there thinking about how they could get out. :)

It's moments, days and glorious pictures like this that make me second-guessing moving. If you'd believe it, this is our walk to church, just 2 blocks away, to church each week...this is literally about 9 houses up the street from me!  It was just stunning this day, with gold leaves shining in the sunshine.  Breathtaking!  It's just hard to pick up and leave these hidden gems that I appreciate all around me and my house....

I found this other picture on my phone of the lil' Snow White by the flowers from our
Boo and the Zoo excursion.
I LOVE IT!

EJ colored a wooden monkey-and-banana all by herself and was very excited to show it off.

My New Haircut!
Just got a haircut today!  And the hairdresser curled my hair with a flat iron...in all of about 4 minutes. It was amazing to watch and a whole new look.  This isn't the best self-portrait (apparently, called a "selfy" some of us 'old' people learned last weekend) with lighting and fuzziness, but oh well!  Just showin' some of the curls.  :)
