December, Part III

EJ's 3 yr old appointment...still in the 94th percentile for height, although she was RIGHT in between both of their scales, so we don't have a completely accurate number on her, but she was just shy of 40 inches.  ...and already fully in 4T clothes all around, by 3.  :)

These big, ol' fun glasses were to test her vision, but she still looked cute in them.

Our sweet, little guy, Briggs (NOT the one that hangs out with EJ) is so scared of things, but always finds something on the floor to sit on.  Look at those big eyes!

Kids Christmas song at church...she didn't even know it, but was OK with going up there with all the other kids. The girls on either side of her are her friends, too.

Christmas Eve
Not the BEST picture(s), but there was no one else to take them, EJ was super sick and tired, and we only had my phone.  At least I got some smiles.

Too bad this pic didn't turn out great...the dress was SOO cute!
After church, we came home and got in PJs before snuggling up for bedtime...here's a sweet, short clip of one of the songs that got stuck in EJ's head this year: Singing a Christmas Song

Christmas Morning!

A Dora guitar!  "La guitara!"  It's so loud, but she loves it (too bad it's doesn't have a VOLUME knob...just like the Dora shows...how ironic)
Smiles in front of the tree with her stocking.

Merry Christmas, Symba!

EJ and Symba already playing together...

"I see you, Mommy" (through the hole of the paint supplies)

She was so cute, because Grandma had written names on each present, so she kept making sure each one said her name or Mommy's...and just got about every one of them right. :) I LOVE that she can spell and recognize both of our names!

Princess stuff from Laurie!

The 250-pc puzzle I did late on Christmas Day after EJ left...it was actually super tiny pieces and a small puzzle.

After a whole bunch of days with EJ visiting with her other grandparents, she came home!  And, she was dressed in her new dress she had gotten.  Still feeling and looking kinda sick, but as usual, was ready to play...so we finally (yes, Christmas had passed, but who cares?!) made our Gingerbread house!  The first one of us and I'm mostly sure the first one for me, too!  I don't remember ever doing these as a kid??  We had fun, and I intend to do it next year...although I saw a gingerbread DUDE that we could do next year!  :)  Maybe we'll make it a girl!

Concentrating hard on where to put the pieces...

"Hmmm...while I think about the next piece of candy, let me eat one and see if it gives me some inspiration..."

"Who me, Mommy?  Eating the candy?  Naw...you saw someone else."

Our finished product

Ariel view, of course!

The West view (ha!)  I don't know!

Yea!  We are done!

So, later that night, we headed out to a place that also neither of us had been to, called Candy Cane Lane.  It was AMAZING!  Blocks and blocks of houses were DECKED OUT with Christmas lights...trees decorated like candy canes, and there were lines of cars all over waiting to just drive through and see.  It was such a neat sight.  We will definitely be adding this to the plans for next year!
By the way, pictures just won't do this justice, but EJ's enormous smile with Santa below DOES give you an idea of how excited / happy she was. :)

There was someone DECORATED in lights!

Rumor on the street (literally...ha!) was that this guy is flown in each year and does a  different sand sculpture each time.  Pretty cool.

Seriously?  A STRETCH HUMMER LIMO?  Would love to know who was in THAT vehicle!
A bunch of kids are afraid of Santa...not mine!!  She ran right up to him!

Look at that genuine smile and excitement!

The "Week of EJ," Part IV - It Continues!

**CHECK BACK SOON.  SOMEHOW, BLOGGER DELETED THIS WHOLE, HUGE ENTRY AND COPIED THE "DECEMBER, PART 3" ONE.  SO FRUSTRATING.  :(  **
